Global Power Components, a Milwaukee-based manufacturer, is seeking trained MIG Welders to join a 1st and 2nd shift team. Work involves welding I-Beam frames and fuel tanks, reading blueprints, and maintaining strict quality on gauge ranges from 10 to 1/2 inch.

OT is available but not mandatory. Candidates must pass a competency test and pre-employment screening. Onsite, temp-to-hire with stable hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to read measuring devices and blueprints.
• GMAW (MIG/MAG) welding experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsabilités

• Weld I-Beam frames and fuel tanks in flat/vertical overhead positions.
• Clamp, tack-weld, grind, and assemble components to spec.
• Inspect products for defects and ensure quality.

1 st Shift: 5am - 1:30pm CT (Monday to Friday) - eligible for OT

2 nd Shift: 4pm - 12:30am CT (Monday to Friday) - eligible for OT

Overview:

Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. Global Power Components is a privately held, financially sound, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. We are seeking MIG Welders who are dedicated, detail orientated and who wants a stable consistent hours where OT is always available but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Welding I-Beam Frame and Fuel Tanks in flat/vertical overhead positions. The sheet metal thickness will range from 10 gauge up to ½ inch.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding
• Position and secure workpieces, using hoists, cranes, wire and banding machines or hand tools
• Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions

Requirements:

• Must be able to read measuring devices, such as tape measure
• Must be able to read blueprints - this is extremely important
• GMAW (MIG/MAG) experience preferred
• Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Must be highly motivated
• Able to communicate and work well with others
• Pay attention to details and have a strong drive to succeed
• Must pass competency test and pre-employment physical including drug screen
