Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking MIG Welders for on-site work in Milwaukee, WI. Positions are 1st shift 5:00am-1:30pm CT or 2nd shift 4:00pm-12:30am CT, Monday through Friday, with overtime available but not mandatory.

Responsibilities include welding I-beam frames and fuel tanks, reading blueprints, and inspecting finished work. Candidates must pass a competency test and pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Able to read measuring devices (tape measure etc.).
• Able to read blueprints – this is extremely important.
• GMAW (MIG/MAG) experience preferred.
• Able to troubleshoot and problem solve.
• Must pass competency test and pre-employment physical including drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Welding I-Beam Frame and Fuel Tanks in flat/vertical overhead positions.
• Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions.

Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. Global Power Components is a privately held, financially sound, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. We are seeking MIG Welders who are dedicated, detail orientated and who wants a stable consistent hours where OT is always available but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Welding I-Beam Frame and Fuel Tanks in flat/vertical overhead positions. The sheet metal thickness will range from 10 gauge up to ½ inch. Clamp, hold, tack-weld, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding Position and secure workpieces, using hoists, cranes, wire and banding machines or hand tools Inspect products/equipment for defects/malfunctions
