3M in the Midwest is seeking a Regional Utility Sales Professional to drive profitable sales in KS, MO, OK, AR, and TN. You will develop territory business plans, prioritize key customers and distributors, and collaborate with other power utility teams to meet customer needs.

The role may be remote within the United States and requires a Bachelor's degree or higher with sales/utility experience and a valid driver's license. Relocation may be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 2 years direct sales or electric utility industry experience.
• Associate's degree and 5 years of sales experience in private, public, government or military environments.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• MBA is preferred.
• Sales experience in the Power Utility Market.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Aptitude to understand and train customers on multiple product lines and applications.
• Field/Channel sales experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present to all levels.
• Ability to qualify and prioritize sales opportunities within assigned territory.
• Experience in a matrix or large complex organization.
• Strong computer skills; Database management: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Salesforce.com.
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
• Strong team player; ability to work effectively with peers.

Responsabilités

• Drive profitable sales for the power utility business in the assigned territory.
• Develop, implement, and execute effective territory business plans.
• Prioritize your end customers, markets, and distributors to drive effective territory management.
• Implement promotions and directives as set by division management.
• Collaborate across other power utility territories and within other 3M EMD Divisions to meet customer needs.
