Job summary

Lakeshore in the Midwest seeks a Regional Director of Learning Environments to secure new and repeat business by building strong customer and stakeholder relationships. You will visit district offices, schools, colleges, design firms and trade shows to assess needs and opportunities, while prospecting city, state, and university partners and government officials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; job-related experience may substitute.
• 6 years of sales experience or equivalent work experience.
• Strong understanding of K-12 FF&E procurement decisions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Salesforce.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent administrative, organizational skills, and timely follow up.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory.

Responsibilities

• Build and secure sales in the field focusing on K-12 FF&E opportunities.
• Own a designated geographical area and drive business results.
• Promote Lakeshore value proposition to customers at all levels.
• Attend bid openings and board meetings; direct bid responses.
• Lead projects from lead generation through installation with teams.
• Collaborate with managers to delegate tasks to project members.
• Host product presentations and events for customer familiarization.
• Influence districts to specify Lakeshore furniture and CEUs when appropriate.
• Develop relationships with district leadership and support sales teams regionally.
• Pursue bond opportunities and large capital improvement projects.
