Job summary

Lakeshore is seeking a Regional Director of Learning Environments, Midwest to secure new and repeat business by building strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders across districts, sites and educational organizations. You will travel within the territory, lead end-to-end sales from lead generation to installation, and partner with Inside and Outside Sales teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), 6 years of sales experience, knowledge of K-12 FF&E procurement,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; job-related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
• 6 years of experience in sales, or equivalent work experience
• Background and understanding of K-12 furniture sales, A&D presentation experience (Product presentations, CEUs, etc) required. Role requires a strong understanding of how school districts and school sites make FF&E procurement decisions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Salesforce
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent administrative, organizational skills, and timely follow up required.
• Candidates should ideally reside in the Indianapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati, or Columbus area and have the ability to travel within the territory as needed, including up to 50% travel

Responsibilities

• Build and secure sales in the field across the district and school-site level, focusing on FF&E opportunities
• Own area and manage end-to-end sales process from lead generation through installation
• Be a Lakeshore brand ambassador, promoting value proposition to customers at all levels
• Attend bid openings, board meetings and provide direction for bid responses
• Own projects through entire sales process in partnership with Regional Sales Manager and Inside Sales Team
• Collaborate with managers to delegate tasks and responsibilities to project team members
• Host product presentations and events to familiarize customers with proprietary services
• Influence stakeholders to specify Lakeshore furniture and provide CEU presentations when appropriate
• Initiate conversations and drive outcomes with district leadership and support sales teams
• Pursue bond opportunities, modernization and large capital improvements in designated regions
• Work with Marketing to refine messaging and collateral for the markets
• Partner with Sales, Retail and Professional Development to support local educators
• Provide support to guide sales strategy and mentorship by region
• Maintain awareness of local, state and national trends and funding opportunities in K-12 FF&E
• Travel as needed and participate in conferences to promote Lakeshore
• Manage your sales pipeline and coordinate with Outside and Inside Sales to map accounts
