Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the physical standards of a Midrise property, including grounds, amenities, and common areas. You will diagnose issues, complete work orders, and coordinate with vendors to ensure safe, functional living spaces for residents.

The role requires making-ready units for leasing, maintaining inventory, and documenting tasks. A flexible schedule with on-call duties is expected, along with safety training and certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and repairing per safety standards and code requirements.
• Makes ready for leasing by inspecting vacant units, creating punch lists, coordinating vendors, and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Manages materials by tracking inventory, returning unused items, and notifying the maintenance supervisor for re-orders.
• Completes documentation for service requests to enable accurate tracking.
• Maintains grounds and common areas by cleaning, painting curbs/signage, and tending pool areas.
• Supports cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Periodically inspects contractor work to verify quality, materials, and compliance with scope.
• Assists with routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and coordinate fixes with management.
• Ability to travel to assist other properties or attend trainings as needed.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a call basis.
