Job summary

Manheim Central School District is seeking a FT Systems Specialist to provide hands-on IT support across Windows-based systems, cloud services, and AV setups in a dynamic educational environment. You will help secure data, deploy updates, and assist with network and classroom tech in both staff and student environments.

The role emphasizes cybersecurity hygiene, collaboration with IT staff, and safe handling of equipment in a school setting, with a 12-month term and potential after-hours on-site

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support, ideally in an educational or business environment.
• Proficiency in Windows OS administration; familiarity with macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux.
• Basic networking knowledge; experience with maintaining enterprise environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure/365 and Google Workspace.
• Knowledge of educational software and systems and managing/projectors/AV equipment including Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Assist students, teachers, and administrators with technology-related issues; provide patient, clear guidance in person, on the phone, or remotely.
• Install, configure, and maintain devices and systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, Linux) and apply security patches.
• Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure; configure routers, switches, and wireless systems; monitor security settings.
• Support Microsoft and Google cloud environments; manage user accounts and data migrations.
• Keep detailed records of tickets, inventory, and maintenance; conduct basic staff training on technology use.
• Collaborate with IT staff, vendors, and admins on upgrades and security practices.
• Independently lift/transport equipment up to 50 lbs; up to 100 lbs with assistance; adhere to safety protocols.
