DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES
- With the principal, provide instructional leadership for school staff; identify, implement, and monitor school-wide strategies that challenge high achievers and accelerates learning for low achievers.
- Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of data-driven procedures in collaboration with building leadership teams and staff.
- Supervise and evaluate school staff.
- Model District standards of ethics and professionalism.
- Monitor, assist, and evaluate staff implementation of school and district improvement plans and effective instructional assessment practices.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and orderly school environment.
- Prepare emergency procedures and communicate them to students, teachers, and staff.
- Collaboratively develop and implement a comprehensive school-wide MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support) Positive Behavior Support Program (Tiers 1, 2, 3) and analyze/utilize student discipline data to ensure effectiveness of behavioral interventions.
- Proficient in administrative uses of technology and data-based analysis.
- Support day-to-day operations of the building's programs and administer student discipline.
- Establish steps and procedures to handling challenging students and standards for conduct.
- Communicate to parents, teachers, and staff regarding infractions of the code of conduct, academic integrity or other policies.
- Assist the principal in the operation of the facility in which the middle school program is housed.
- The organization, scheduling and supervision of certified and non-certified personnel as assigned.
- Provide leadership for curricular and extra-curricular program development.
- Scheduling and supervision of students in a middle school with an enrollment of approximately 925 students.
- Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
SALARY: Salary commensurate with experience and training.
