The Hanover Insurance Group seeks a skilled Middle Market Underwriter to identify, solicit, underwrite, and sell new and renewal accounts. The role emphasizes risk analysis, pricing, and portfolio management within a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities include leveraging data-driven insights, collaborating with agents, and maintaining adherence to underwriting guidelines and CAT considerations to drive profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-7+ years Underwriting experience, with a minimum of 3 years of experience underwriting MM accounts.
• 3+ years of experience driving agency relationships resulting in profitable new and renewal business.

Responsibilities

• Identify, solicit, underwriting and selling new and renewal Middle Market accounts.
• Apply advanced technical, sales and analytical skills to provide insurance solutions.
• Manage assigned book with high technical complexity and coordination.
• Adhere to underwriting guidelines and CAT guidelines to minimize exposure.
• Support profitable growth and portfolio management goals.
