Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a skilled Middle Market Territory Manager to market, manage and underwrite commercial business through select agencies or brokers. You will drive profit and premium by developing business plans and nurturing agency relationships.

This role requires seven years of underwriting and sales experience in commercial lines, a Bachelor’s degree, and CPCU/CIC designation preferred. You’ll travel extensively while supporting agents and delivering superior customer value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Relevant professional designation such as CPCU or CIC preferred.
• Seven years of progressively more responsible underwriting and sales experience in commercial lines preferred.
• Knowledge of underwriting standards and commercial products.

Responsibilities

• Monitors market conditions, analyzes risk to win accounts.
• Quotes, prices and underwrites new and renewal policies for complex accounts.
• Manages workflow and ensures service level agreements with underwriting teams.
• Develops and implements business plans with agency partners.
• Drives agency planning to maximize profit and pipeline, and coordinates new business and renewals.
