Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Territory Production Underwriter for the Middle Market in Arizona. You will market, manage, and underwrite commercial business through select agencies, driving profit and premium to meet financial goals while executing business plans.

The role focuses on intermediate to senior underwriting with a strong emphasis on agency partnerships, risk evaluation, and sales execution across the territory. Remote location is common, with travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• CPCU or CIC designation preferred.
• Seven years of underwriting and sales experience in commercial lines.
• Knowledge of state statutes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor market conditions and research risk to win accounts.
• Analyze risks and prepare reports; review agency books.
• Quote, price, and underwrite complex or service-sensitive accounts.
• Manage workflows and coordinate with team to meet SLAs.
• Develop and execute territory business plans with agencies.
