Job summary

BMO Financial Group seeks a Commercial Credit Analyst to analyze credit information and support lending decisions for a portfolio of clients. You will perform financial analysis, assess creditworthiness, prepare credit summaries, and ensure compliance with policies while delivering exceptional client service.

You will build financial models, evaluate repayment capacity, structure loans, monitor portfolio risk, and identify cross‑selling opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; Business Administration, Finance or Accounting is preferred.
• 3–4 years of credit or lending experience in a corporate or banking environment is ideal.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial analysis and calculations to assess client creditworthiness and prepare detailed credit summaries.
• Support credit-granting decisions by making recommendations to the manager and ensuring compliance.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify deteriorating credit conditions, applying appropriate action.
