Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a Commercial Banking Credit Analyst to analyze credit information and support lending decisions for commercial clients. You will prepare credit summaries, assess risk, and help structure loans in line with bank policies.

You will monitor portfolio performance, identify opportunities, and collaborate with Relationship Managers to expand client relationships while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Foundational and intermediate proficiency in financial analysis and credit assessment.
• Experience supporting credit decisions and loan structuring within a banking environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required; business, finance, or accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze credit information and assess client creditworthiness within an assigned portfolio.
• Prepare detailed credit summaries and risk analyses for lending decisions.
• Support negotiation of loan terms and ensure compliance with policies.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify risks and opportunities.
• Build and maintain client relationships to grow business and ROE.
