Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a Credit Analyst to analyze credit information and support lending decisions for a portfolio of Commercial banking clients. You will perform financial analyses, assess credit risk, and prepare credit summaries to support informed decisions while ensuring compliance with bank policies.

The role focuses on loan structures, risk assessments, and collaboration with Relationship Managers to grow client relationships.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of relevant experience in credit or lending instruments or financial operations in a corporate or banking environment.
• Must have financial industry experience
• Commercial Banking experience is a nice-to-have
• Must have knowledge or experience of loan or lending operations
• Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes credit information to support lending decisions and processes for loans in an assigned portfolio.
• Makes credit decisions and recommendations in compliance with bank policies.
• Performs financial analysis and calculations to assess client creditworthiness.
• Develops proposals to capture new business and expand client relationships.
• Builds and maintains client relationships in collaboration with Relationship Manager.
