Job summary

US1141 Buckhead Meat of Houston, Inc. is seeking a warehouse supervisor to oversee receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, loading and shipping, while ensuring continuity, productivity, efficiency and superior service to customers, suppliers and distributors.

You will lead daily activities, manage staff performance, enforce safety policies, monitor inventory accuracy, and implement process improvements to reduce costs and downtime, all in a fast‑paced distribution center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 3-5 years' distribution center experience preferred.
• Experience supervising warehouse staff in a redistributed/distribution center.
• Powered industrial truck certification required within 2 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct and monitor daily warehouse activities to ensure procedures, quality and safety.
• Ensure staffing levels, effective communication, and training to maintain performance.
• Evaluate employee performance, motivate, delegate, and mentor; resolve conflicts as needed.
• Lead pre-shift meetings, communicate policy changes, address concerns, gather feedback.
• Participate in staff selection, performance and compensation evaluations as necessary.
• Review procedures and optimize operational structure for efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor expenses and provide resources to support daily activities.
• Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency, safety and reduce costs.
