Job summary

Buckhead & Newport Meat and Seafood is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee product flow, quality standards, inventory control and sanitation. You will lead a team, manage payroll, and ensure accuracy in orders while controlling departmental expenses.

The role requires a strong focus on safety, compliance with OSHA, and cross‑department communication to optimize operations and cost efficiency across the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4-year degree strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, direct, and discipline warehouse personnel to achieve efficient use of manpower and equipment.
• Process weekly payroll.
• Perform daily sanitation and safety inspections.
• Ensure security, maintenance, and repair of warehouse equipment and building.
• Perform cycle counting and reconciliations.
• Process invoices and manage expenses.
• Recommend improvements in material handling to lower costs.
• Manage productivity and order accuracy to maintain high service levels.
• Maintain communications with other departments and company personnel.
• Assure OSHA compliance in warehouse operations.
• Follow Buckhead/Newport Meat & Seafood compliance review in all operations.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Review receiving to identify outs, stock issues, and quality problems; inform procurement.
• Organize paperwork for outbound shifts; review delivery adjustments.
• Conduct routine warehouse meetings and maintain a safety program.
• Participate in the safety committee.
