Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Portland, OR, is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee hourly workers, ensuring safe manufacturing of high‑quality products in line with schedules and budgets.

The role requires attention to process control, safety, and continuous improvement through team coaching. The successful candidate will coordinate shift operations, train staff in safety and quality procedures, and collaborate with managers to meet production targets while maintaining morale and a safe

Qualifications

• High school plus college level courses or equivalent training in manufacturing accounting, mathematics, and statistics.
• Two to five years' experience in related production operations with good ability to facilitate team problem solving and communicate both orally and in writing.
• Process improvement and Lean Six Sigma experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly employees to safely manufacture quality products and meet customer specifications.
• Maintain safe work environment and emphasize accident prevention in all activities.
• Plan, organize, and supervise shift operations to meet production schedules and supervisor requirements.
• Strive to attain target earned hours and meet or beat budget criteria.
• Develop, train, and involve employees in improving departmental efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, morale.
• Ensure all employees are trained in safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping.
