Job summary

You will apply lean, TOC, and NEI concepts to improve efficiency, coordinate budget considerations with departmental goals, and ensure training and safety standards are maintained across the plant.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing management and shift supervision.
• Ability to lead people and develop staff.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in safety procedures and incident reporting.
• Knowledge of lean, TOC, interference management and NEI processes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe manufacture of products and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ensures employees are trained in all safety procedures and follow good housekeeping practices.
• Provides coaching, develops staff, and resolves employee issues.
• Adheres to process control procedures, operating instructions, and quality control instructions.
• Plans, organises and supervises shift operations to meet schedules and budgets.
• Ensures throughput and budget criteria are met or exceeded.
• Interviews and hires (recommends for hire) employees and develops departmental efficiency.
• Maintains adequate staffing to meet production schedules.
• Assists with annual budget input and adheres to budget plans.
