Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks an experienced supervisor to oversee hourly production teams, ensuring safety, quality and productivity targets are met while maintaining cost efficiency. The role requires leadership in implementing process controls and employee training to sustain high standards.

The successful candidate will collaborate with management to schedule shifts, monitor performance, and enforce safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school plus college level courses or equivalent training in manufacturing accounting, mathematics and statistics. Additional training in motivation, problem solving and group behavior, or PCC Certificate program.
• Bachelor's in Engineering and/or Business preferred.
• Two to five years’ experience in related production operations with good ability to facilitate team problem solving and communicate both orally and in writing.
• May be required to complete annual hazardous waste training, handle hazardous waste, complete weekly inspections, or manage areas that generate or handle hazardous waste.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to process control procedures, operating instructions and all quality control instructions.
• Safely manufacture a quality product with minimal scrap or rework, while meeting customer specifications.
• Plan, organize and supervise shift operation in accordance with production schedules.
• Develop, train, and involve employees in maintaining and improving departmental efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, cooperation and morale.
• Ensure all employees work safely and are properly trained in safety procedures.
• Maintain employee attendance to meet production schedules.
