Job summary

Morgan Business Consulting seeks a Mid-Level Training Specialist to support a U.S. Navy program office with training and development initiatives. You will lead programs, create materials, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to boost performance.

The role requires 5+ years in Navy training support, DoD SECRET eligibility, and strong communication skills. Occasional travel to client sites and conferences is expected. Eligible for security clearance and US-based travel.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience providing training and development support to U.S. Navy program offices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Eligibility to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field from a US-accredited institution.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

The Mid-Level Training Specialist will provide training and development support to a U.S. Navy program office.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct and supervise training and development programs for employees and external customers to help employees develop new skills and enhance productivity while improving the quality of work.
  • Plan and develop programs for training by assessing and identifying training needs created by problems within the organization.
  • Set up teaching materials and lesson plans prior to classes and issue completion certificates at the end of the class.
  • Consult with onsite supervisors regarding available performance improvement services.
  • Plan internal and external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Assist in the development of briefing material and drafting documents in accordance with Navy Correspondence Manual guidelines.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and execute data calls to gather inputs from both internal and external stakeholders. Consolidate and communicate information from data calls to government leadership for further action.
  • Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation.
  • Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and notes and assist in the preparation and closure of action items.
  • Assist in the scheduling of appointments in support of Government customer, the coordination of arrangements for meetings and conferences, and the arrangement of travel reservations and accommodations.
  • Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications as required.
  • Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC’s clients. These requirements are subject to change without advance notice at the discretion of MBC and MBC’s clients.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience providing training and development support to U.S. Navy program offices.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any field from an institution accredited in the United States.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients.
