Job summary

Morgan Business Consulting, LLC is seeking a Senior Operations Manager in the Washington, D.C. area to lead branch operations and develop policies, with a focus on program offices and Navy-related work.

The role requires coordinating staff, budgets, trainings, and cross-department collaboration to meet organizational goals. The candidate will travel domestically and internationally, prepare briefings, and support leadership with data-driven decisions, while maintaining high attention to detail

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience providing administrative and executive support to U.S. Navy program offices.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking ability.
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a card as required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate branch or department operation strategies and assist with policies and procedures.
  • Assign work, set deadlines, and coordinate with other departments to meet goals.
  • Ensure staff training and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Analyze costs and prepare department budgets.
  • Plan internal and external engagements, meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Assist in drafting documents per Navy guidance and summarize data calls for leadership.
  • Coordinate data collection and communicate findings to government leadership.
  • Evaluate deficiencies, propose improvements, and coordinate implementation.
  • Transcribe meeting minutes and assist with action items closure.
  • Schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, and arrange travel for government customers.
  • Attend meetings and program reviews, assisting with presentations and communications.
  • Travel domestically and internationally and obtain required professional certifications and clearances.

Senior Operations Manager

Full Time Arlington, VA, US

Salary Range: $90,000.00 To $120,000.00 Annually

We are currently seeking a Senior Operations Manager located in the Washington, D.C. area.

What you’ll do:
  • Manage and coordinate branch or department operation strategies and assist with developing and implementing organizational policies and procedures, as well as attaining operating goals.
  • Ensure work is being completed in a timely manner by assigning or delegating work, objectives, and activities to supervisors and staff, organizing resources, giving work direction, setting deadlines, and coordinating with other departments.
  • Ensure adequate training of staff and employee compliance with the organization’s policies and practices.
  • Analyze costs and prepare department budgets.
  • Plan internal and external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Assist in the development of briefing material and drafting documents in accordance with Navy Correspondence Manual guidelines.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and execute data calls to gather inputs from both internal and external stakeholders. Consolidate and communicate information from data calls to government leadership for further action.
  • Evaluate operational deficiencies, recommend improvements, and coordinate their implementation
  • Transcribe and summarize meeting minutes and notes and assist in the preparation and closure of action items
  • Assist in the scheduling of appointments in support of Government customer, the coordination of arrangements for meetings and conferences, and the arrangement of travel reservations and accommodations
  • Attend meetings and program reviews, assist with compiling presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications as required
  • Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC’s clients. These requirements are subject to change without advance notice at the discretion of MBC and MBC’s clients
