Job summary

Captechconsulting is seeking a mid-level Test Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated test suites across web, mobile, and API layers. You will work embedded in cross-functional delivery teams, translating acceptance criteria into clear test scenarios and contributing to quality metrics.

The role emphasizes adaptability in a consulting environment, with collaboration across developers, analysts, and client stakeholders to ensure quality remains a measurable part of software

Qualifications

3–6 years of professional software quality engineering experience, with at least 2 years in test automation.
Hands-on experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Cypress.
Experience with API testing, REST services, authentication patterns, and contract/schema validation.
Experience integrating automated suites into a CI/CD pipeline and Git-based version control.
Strong understanding of agile delivery, SDLC, and defect management.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web, mobile, and API layers.
Build reusable test frameworks using page object, data-driven, and BDD patterns.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD so every build yields quality signals.
Collaborate with product owners to translate acceptance criteria into test scenarios.
Triage failing tests and distinguish defects from environment issues.
