Job summary

Captech Consulting is seeking a mid-level Test Automation Engineer to join our Quality Engineering practice. You will design, build, and maintain automated test suites for client engagements spanning web, mobile, and API-driven systems.

You will work as an embedded member of cross-functional delivery teams, partnering with developers, business analysts, and client stakeholders to make quality a continuous, measurable part of the software delivery lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a computing field.
• 3–6 years of professional software quality engineering experience, with at least 2 years in test automation.
• Hands-on experience with at least one modern UI automation tool (Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Cypress).
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and using Git-based version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web, mobile, and API layers.
• Build reusable test frameworks using page object, data-driven, and behavior-driven patterns.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to provide meaningful quality signals.
• Collaborate with product owners and analysts to translate acceptance criteria into test scenarios.
• Triage failing tests and distinguish defects from test or environment issues.
• Contribute to performance, accessibility, and security testing efforts.
