Job summary

Cadmus invites a Mid-Level Full Stack Java Developer to join our team supporting a multi-year Federal contract. You will build modern web apps using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Angular, REST APIs, and relational databases, with emphasis on maintainability and performance.

You will work across the full stack within an Agile/Scrum team, diagnose production issues, review code, and collaborate with architects, testers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 6+ years of software development experience.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Angular experience.
• Proficient in SQL and relational databases (Oracle/SQL Server preferred).
• Experience building RESTful services and APIs with Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and code reviews.
• Experience with legacy modernization efforts and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and collaboration in a team.

Responsibilities

• Participate throughout the Agile software development lifecycle, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, development, testing, deployment, and retrospective activities.
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Design and implement RESTful web services and APIs using Spring Boot.
• Develop components following coding standards and best practices.
• Work with relational databases and develop efficient SQL queries and integrations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across environments and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver enhancements.
• Develop unit/integration tests and support automated testing activities.
• Maintain and modernize existing applications while introducing Spring/Angular innovations when beneficial.
• Participate in deployment and production support activities.
• Mentor junior developers and document architectures and guides.
