Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Front Royal, Virginia on the 2nd shift (3:00 pm–11:30 pm). The role offers weekly pay, a schedule Monday–Friday with weekends off, and opportunities to earn certifications and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• Two years or more of combined classroom training and diesel repair experience.
• Experience with routine preventive maintenance on diesel engines.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Identifies root cause and performs repairs as required.
• Replaces defective components as instructed.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to clarify the nature of the complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Adheres to safety, DOT, MOT guidelines.
• Performs other support duties as needed.
