Job summary

Ryder in Winchester, VA is hiring a Mid Level Diesel Technician for a second shift (2:30pm – 11:00pm). You will perform maintenance and repair on diesel engines, diagnose issues, and ensure safety compliance.

In addition to a $25.00 hourly wage, the role offers bonuses, paid training, PTO from day one, and a 401(k) match. Strong tools, CDL A preferred, and opportunities for advancement are highlighted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certifications preferred.
• Two years or more of relevant experience preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses diesel engine and related issues with diagnostic tools.
• Interacts with drivers to determine nature of the complaint.
• Uses shop management system for documentation.
• Follows safety and DOT guidelines and supports other duties.
