Job summary

Ryder in Harrisonburg, VA is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician on the second shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm). The role offers weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision after 30 days, PTO from day 1, 401(k) match, and tool/boot allowances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Basic tools are required.
• Aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic tools when applicable.
• Identifies root cause of failures and performs repairs as required.
• Interacts with drivers to determine nature of complaints.
