Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking experienced architects in the Pittsburgh area to design and manage high-level projects. You will lead design development, produce construction documents, and guide a project through administration with teams and clients.

Join a long-established firm known for quality and growth opportunities, contributing to commissions from Federal, Municipal, Higher Education and Industrial clients. Strong graphics, detailing and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Accredited Professional Degree in Architecture required (Bachelor or Master of Architecture).
• 11-15 years of relevant experience.
• Strong design and technical skills with focus on superior architecture.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience creating engaging graphics for building design presentations.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and client-focused.
• Travel up to 400 miles.

Responsibilities

• Participate in and lead design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with in-house disciplines and external consultants.
• Manage project scope, budget, and schedule under supervision.
• Contribute to project design through sketches, 3D modeling and development of practical solutions.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies for successful delivery.
• Conduct code analysis, material research, and specification writing.
• Mentor junior staff and support a collaborative team.
• Assist business development with proposals and project presentations.
