Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) seeks Mechanical Systems Engineers to support the Test Operations and Sustainment contract at Arnold AFB, TN. You will oversee installation, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrades of major mechanical equipment to ensure test readiness for airframes, engines and aerospace systems.

You will work with a team across design, fabrication, and DoD contractors, performing hazard analyses, developing maintenance plans, and producing clear work instructions

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Grade 08: a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
• Grade 09: a minimum of 8 years of engineering experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance.
• US citizenship is required for employment at AEDC.

Responsibilities

• Respond when systems malfunction, troubleshoot and direct corrective maintenance to restore service.
• Update and maintain system documentation for systems of responsibility.
• Collaborate with design engineering, fabrication shops, DoD client and contractors.
• Develop advanced maintenance plans with Asset Health Assurance personnel.
• Conduct system safety hazard analyses and write work instructions for operation and maintenance.
• Assess and communicate risks to stakeholders and develop improvement estimates.
• Coordinate with planners, schedulers and craft supervisors to plan and execute projects.
• Assist craft personnel with troubleshooting and provide technical leadership.
• Comply with PPE requirements and company policy; perform related duties.
