Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the Test Operations and Sustainment contract at Arnold AFB, TN. The role involves designing and analyzing hardware, HVAC, piping, drives, and test fixtures within a collaborative team. Entry to mid-level engineers are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance and maintain authorized user access to the AEDC local area network.
• S. Citizenship is required due to federal government contract compliance requirements and the necessity to access secure federal databases and networks on Arnold Air Force Base.

Responsibilities

• Provide design support for various plant projects and test activities.
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria in design solutions and/or modifications to existing systems, equipment or other components.
• Perform assignments with objectives and limited variable investigations in mechanical engineering.
• Prepare or review engineering studies and reports and plan calculations.
• Review designs, drawings and data by other engineers or suppliers and provide comments and recommendations.
• Foster an open, trustful team environment and comply with PPE requirements.
