Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager in the Data Protection and Privacy team to lead Microsoft security architecture engagements across Purview, Defender, Intune, Sentinel, Entra, and related cloud services. You will own end-to-end architecture, drive governance models, and mentor delivery teams while shaping roadmaps and client strategies.

The role requires extensive Purview experience, cross-platform design expertise, and a proven ability to translate business needs into integrated security and privacy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Data Science, Privacy, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Approximately 6+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, data protection, identity, endpoint, cloud security, privacy, compliance, information governance, or related technology consulting, including leadership of teams or workstreams.
• Experience architecting integrated Microsoft solutions across multiple security, compliance, identity, endpoint, cloud, data, or analytics capabilities.
• Hands-on architecture or delivery experience with Microsoft Purview across capabilities like Information Protection, DLP, Data Lifecycle, Records Management, Insider Risk, eDiscovery, Audit, Data Map, Data Catalog, DPM.
• Knowledge across Microsoft Defender, Intune, Sentinel, Entra, Azure security services, Fabric, M365, or M365 Copilot.
• Ability to travel as required by client and engagement needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead Microsoft security and data protection engagements from discovery to benefits realization.
• Own end-to-end solution architecture across Purview, Defender, Intune, Sentinel, Entra, Azure security services, M365, Fabric and related cloud/data capabilities.
• Ensure Purview is incorporated into broader security architectures including Information Protection and DLP.
• Develop integrated security, data governance, privacy, and AI governance strategies aligned with objectives.
• Lead architecture reviews, maturity assessments, roadmaps, and governance frameworks.
• Facilitate workshops across security, privacy, legal, compliance, data governance, and stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into target-state architectures, reference patterns, and implementation plans.
• Establish architecture principles, patterns, and quality criteria for Microsoft-based solutions.
• Design integrations across Microsoft platforms and third-party security/data technologies.
• Lead architecture for Microsoft 365 Copilot, AI solutions, and enterprise apps including identity and access controls.
• Manage engagement scope, staffing, budgets, risks, and executive reporting.
• Provide direction and coaching to junior resources and address cross-platform design issues.
• Build trusted client relationships, support proposals, and contribute to solution pricing.
• Develop reusable architecture methods, reference designs, accelerators, and thought leadership.
