Qualifications

• Analytical skills required to complete analysis procedures and determine microorganism concentration.
• Basic knowledge of Laboratory Information Management System is required to process client data.
• Manual dexterity required for manipulating samples and handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read plates and tubes to determine the number of organisms in the sample.
• Record findings on worksheet for verification.
• Write identification onto plates for tracking client and sample numbers.
• Pipette sample solutions into tubes or plates per analysis procedures.
• Prepare media and broths for pathogen testing as required.
• Perform tests and ensure readiness of materials for next testing sequence.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment and observe safety policies.
