Job summary

MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES Visalia, CA is hiring a Lab Assistant - Microbiology to join our team at 8020 West Doe Ave. You'll perform routine lab tasks, maintain cleanliness, and support quality initiatives.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and training is provided. You will work a 6am-2:30pm shift, 5 days per week, with overtime opportunities while contributing to safe, accurate microbiology testing.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• No previous lab experience required; training provided.
• May operate company vehicle as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean laboratory and discard waste per procedures.
• Store chemicals, reagents and supplies properly.
• Clean and decontaminate equipment and glassware.
• Prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Perform quality control checks as directed by leadership.
• Support other lab personnel and improve processes.
• Maintain knowledge of LIMS for job responsibilities.
• Ensure a safe working environment and participate in audits.
