Job summary

Michael Page US is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for fast-paced interiors projects in Manhattan. You will assist PMs, coordinate subs, manage schedules, procurement, and quality control while maintaining client communications.

The successful candidate will hold a related degree, understand construction processes, and be proficient with MS Office, Procore, and Bluebeam; NYC experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and project documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software.
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to develop into a Project Manager role.
  • Experience working on projects within New York City is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with the successful delivery of retail, restaurant, and office interior construction projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support project scheduling, procurement, and material tracking activities.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project budgets, change orders, and cost reporting.
  • Participate in site meetings and maintain project records and reports.
  • Assist with quality control, safety compliance, and project closeout procedures.
  • Help identify and resolve project challenges to maintain schedules and budgets.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, field teams, architects, and vendors.
