Job summary

Michael Page US is assisting a leading commercial interiors general contractor in recruiting an Assistant Project Manager for projects across New York City. The role focuses on assisting with planning, coordination, and execution of commercial interior construction, working with PMs and cross-functional teams to ensure timeliness and quality.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of construction experience in interiors, a strong grasp of drawings and scheduling, and proficiency with Procore/Bluebeam.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of construction experience in an Assistant Project Manager or related role.
  • Commercial interiors construction experience within New York City is essential.
  • Experience with General Contractor on tenant fit-out, office, retail, healthcare, or hospitality projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, project documentation, and scheduling processes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.

Job Description

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:

  • 2+ years of construction experience in an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or related role.
  • Commercial interiors construction experience within New York City is essential.
  • Experience working for a General Contractor on tenant fit-out, office, retail, healthcare, or hospitality projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, project documentation, and scheduling processes.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
