Job summary

MPI is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for projects in New York City. You will support Project Managers through all phases of construction, assist with budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and project administration, and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and documentation.

The Successful Applicant should have 2+ years of GC experience, with a background in commercial interiors, retail, or public construction, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with a General Contractor.
  • Experience in commercial interiors, retail, and/or public construction projects.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of project management processes and construction documentation.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or similar construction software.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to develop into a Project Manager role.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers through all phases of construction projects.
  • Assist with budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and project administration.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, architects, and clients.
  • Track project progress and help ensure milestones are achieved on schedule.

The Successful Applicant
