Job summary

MPI in New York City seeks a seasoned Superintendent to lead day-to-day operations on retail and commercial construction projects. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, and ensure safety and quality while collaborating with project teams and clients.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction, a strong background in retail interiors, and thorough knowledge of NYC codes and regulations.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent within commercial construction.
  • Strong background delivering retail interiors, tenant improvements, store rollouts, and commercial fit-out projects.
  • Proven experience managing projects within New York City.
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and NYC regulations.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and subcontractor management.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent should have:



  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent within commercial construction.

  • Strong background delivering retail interiors, tenant improvements, store rollouts, and commercial fit-out projects.

  • Proven experience managing projects within New York City.

  • Thorough knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and NYC regulations.

  • Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and subcontractor management.

  • OSHA certification preferred.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain momentum on fast-track projects.

  • Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-focused.
