Job summary
Sysco Northeast Rdc in Texas is seeking an Operations/MHE maintenance helper to support technician II & III in maintenance of material handling equipment and industrial batteries. This hands-on role develops electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical knowledge while performing preventive maintenance and basic repairs.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, technical training preferred, and a valid driver's license.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED; tech school preferred.
- Two years MHE maintenance preferred; no prior experience required.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license and meet company liability requirements.
- Defensive driving certification to Sysco standards.
- Eligible for Powered Industrial Equipment certification within 3 months.
Responsibilities
- Assist with maintenance activities for MHE and industrial batteries.
- Learn controls, electrical systems (AC/DC), hydraulics, and pneumatic basics.
- Perform basic electrical repairs and welding as needed.
- Support PMs, inspections, and safety checks on MHE fleets.
- Maintain CMMS logs for time and materials; keep work areas clean.
- Adhere to OSHA and safety policies; wear required PPE.
