Job summary

Sysco Nashville is seeking an Operations/MHE Maintenance Assistant to support an experienced MHE technician III with preventive and corrective maintenance of material handling equipment and industrial batteries. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and hands-on electrical and mechanical tasks.

Responsibilities include basic electrical repairs, PM checks, battery maintenance, and CMMS data entry.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures and regulations.
• Strong math skills for measurements and conversions.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of safety policies and govern procedures.
• Knowledge of AC/DC low voltage controls and basic electrical systems.
• Complete small electrical repairs and welding projects as needed.
• Maintain MHE fleet PMs, perform oil checks, belt/chain replacements, and troubleshoot electrical controls.
• Assist battery technicians with charger repairs and battery maintenance.
• Log time and materials into CMMS daily and maintain clean work areas.
