Job summary

Sysco is seeking an Operations position to assist MHE technician II & III with maintenance activities for material handling equipment and industrial batteries.

You will learn controls, low voltage systems, basic electrical repairs, PM routines, hydraulic and electrical schematics, and support for mechanical systems. Strong emphasis on safety and housekeeping within a distribution center environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required; tech school or equivalent is preferred.
• Two years in an MHE maintenance position is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Learn low voltage AC/DC controls and basic electrical repairs.
• Assist with PMs of MHE fleet and battery maintenance tasks.
• Support repairs on belts, chains and motors; troubleshoot electrical controls.
• Learn hydraulic and electrical systems including PLCs.
• Assist with building and grounds projects as needed.
• Log time and materials in CMMS daily.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
