Job summary

Sysco Pittsburgh is seeking a Material Handling Equipment Technician II to support MHE maintenance and battery maintenance in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will assist with preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and minor repairs, while following strict safety rules and working on-site in Pittsburgh.

Responsibilities include logging work in CMMS, participating in on-call shifts, and assisting with battery-related tasks and general shop duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; tech school preferred (2 years).
• 4 years in an MHE maintenance position or equivalent experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with liability coverage; defensive driving certification.
• Powered Industrial Equipment Certification from Sysco within 3 months.
• MHE 8-hour maintenance tech certificate from the manufacturer (e.g., Crown, Raymond, Hyster).

Responsibilities

• Assist MHE technician III with maintenance activities and PM of MHE fleet.
• Support battery maintenance: chargers, water, acid spill cleanup, and related tasks.
• Log time and materials in CMMS; complete work orders and PMs daily.
• Adhere to safety policies, wear PPE, and participate in on-call program.
