Job summary

Crate and Barrel is seeking a Facilities Automation Technician I to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated material handling equipment (MHE), conveyors, AutoStore ASRS, and related systems at our Illinois facilities. You will diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, read schematics, and ensure safe operation.

Responsibilities include logging labor hours and downtime in the asset management system, operating PITs as needed, and upholding safety standards such as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical trade training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on mechanical/electrical maintenance in industrial/fulfillment environments.
• Certifications such as LOTO or electrical safety are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated MHE including conveyors and AS/RS.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems and components.
• Log work orders and record labor hours, downtime, and spare parts used.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and Arc Flash compliance.
