Job summary

Referment is partnering with a global investment firm to add an associate to its Management Company Accounting team within Financial Operations. You will own the recurring close, reporting, and regulatory processes for US and international management companies, and help modernize the function through generative AI and automation.

Qualifications

• Two years of accounting experience in alternative asset management, financial services, or public accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA is required.
• Solid understanding of core accounting concepts and the recurring close and reporting cycle.
• Forward-looking mindset on generative AI and automation with interest in applying new tools.
• Keen attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, collaborative communication, discretion with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Manage recurring monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reporting for the team and firm leadership, with accuracy and timeliness.
• Support regulatory and compliance reporting requirements and related filings.
• Help design and adopt generative AI and automation tools that make close, reporting, and regulatory workflows more efficient and reliable.
• Partner with colleagues across Financial Operations and Legal and Compliance to research questions, address reporting needs, and improve processes.
