Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to join our team at clinics in Frederick and Hagertown, MD. You will perform detailed fetal ultrasounds, assist with procedures, and document findings for physician review in a fast-paced maternity care setting.

The ideal candidate brings ARDMS certification or eligibility, OB/GYN or fetal echo credentials, and a commitment to quality patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited sonography program with a degree in ultrasonography or equivalent.
• Maintain or be eligible for ARDMS certification.
• ARDMS OB/GYN or Fetal Echo (FE) certified or eligible within 12 months of hire.
• Must provide evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements.
• NT experience or certification preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys, including twins and triplets.
• Assists physicians with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
• Accurately documents exam findings, measurements, images, and procedural details in the reporting systems.
• Records patient history, indications, and pertinent observations per protocols.
• Generates clear preliminary reports for physician review and final signature.
• Reviews studies with interpreting physicians to support diagnostic accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and equipment operation.
• Rotates to other locations to cover absences.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
