Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to join our team at a busy MFM clinic in Frederick and Hagertown, MD. The diagnostic ultrasound specialist works with perinatologists to provide care for high-risk pregnancies.

The role includes performing detailed fetal surveys, documenting findings, assisting with procedures, and ensuring accurate reports. Candidates should have ARDMS certification, OB/GYN or FE certification, and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited sonography program with degree in ultrasonography or equivalent.
• Maintain ARDMS certification or eligibility.
• ARDMS OB/GYN or FE certification or eligibility within 12 months.
• Evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements.
• NT experience or certification preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed fetal anatomical surveys, including twins and triplets.
• Assists physicians with procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling.
• Accurately documents exam findings, measurements, images, and procedural details in the reporting systems.
• Records patient history, indications, and observations per departmental protocols.
• Generates clear preliminary reports for physician review and final signature.
• Reviews completed studies with interpreting physicians to communicate findings.
• Maintains compliance with organizational policies, accreditation, and safety standards.
• Rotates to other locations to cover Sonographer absences.
