Job summary

CONMED Corporation is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing – Metals in Largo, FL (Remote). The role owns the Metals category strategy, drives cost, continuity, and supplier outcomes, and leads cross-functional solutions with stakeholder engagement.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in strategic sourcing, leadership experience, and deep metals market knowledge. This role offers a path to influence across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive strategic sourcing experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the Metals category strategy across suppliers, sites, and priorities.
• Lead complex negotiations with should-cost, indexing, and TCO analyses.
• Design commercial structures including LTAs, capacity commitments, and risk sharing terms.
• Build should-cost, index, benchmark, and PPV analyses to shape strategy.
• Establish supplier governance and recovery/development plans.
• Anticipate and manage commodity, capacity, quality, and geopolitical risks; lead escalations.
• Influence senior stakeholders across functions and suppliers without direct authority.
• Anticipate qualification and compliance risks and integrate responsible-sourcing expectations.
• Communicate financial impact and tradeoffs to leadership.
• Translate market risks and cost drivers into concise executive recommendations.
