Job summary

MetalJobs Network is partnering with a well-established specialty metals distributor to fill an Inside Sales Account Manager position in Chicago, IL. This role focuses on building relationships with existing customers, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering exceptional service.

You will collaborate with Outside Sales/Territory Managers to expand accounts, prepare quotations, process orders, and analyze market trends to support profitable sales.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong problem-solving, basic math, and willingness to learn.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Metals Industry sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for additional business.
• Prepare customer quotations, process orders, resolve inquiries, and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Partner with Outside Sales/Territory Managers to identify prospects, develop new accounts, and achieve sales goals.
• Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers to maintain a competitive position in the marketplace.
• Analyze customer needs, pricing, and market trends to support sales growth and profitability.
• Effectively manage daily sales activities, customer communications, and account priorities.
