Job summary

Rivian in Normal, IL is seeking an MES Technical Project Manager to orchestrate MES initiatives across production lines and to align software, manufacturing, and shop-floor teams. You will oversee deployment of MARS, SpinalX, and FTPC Rockwell, ensuring timelines and technical requirements are understood and met.

You will lead cross-functional meetings, manage documentation, track milestones, and drive ongoing improvements to keep Rivian’s digital factory roadmap on schedule for the R1 and R2

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, PM, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–3+ years of project coordination/management in manufacturing, automation, or high-tech.
• Familiarity with MES systems and Agile/Waterfall project management; Jira/Confluence/Smartsheet experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans for MES rollouts across specific shops (Body, Paint, GA, Battery, Drive Unit, EOL).
• Coordinate downtime windows and validations to support production with minimal impact.
• Track milestones and provide concise bi-weekly updates on line readiness and blockers.
• Create, organize, and maintain project documentation including runbooks and change logs.
• Lead cross-functional meetings with clear agendas, decisions, and action items.
• Coordinate testing, post-deployment validation, and defect tracking to ensure quality.
