Job summary

Rivian is seeking a highly organized Technical Program Manager to drive the successful execution of complex, high-impact programs (>$50M). You will define, maintain, and deliver scope, schedule, and budget while aligning cross-functional teams and external partners to Rivian's mission of sustainable transportation.

Location options include Normal, IL; Plymouth, MI; or Atlanta, GA facilities. You will report to a Director, Manufacturing Engineering and shape program success through proactive risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years managing complex programs with budgets over $50M.
• Experience defining and maintaining program scope.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external teams.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Experience working with external vendors and suppliers.
• Experience setting up and utilizing program management tools (JIRA, Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Own and develop comprehensive program plans including scope, schedules with milestones and gates.
• Manage budget and resources for programs >$50M and report status.
• Lead cross-functional partnerships with internal teams and external partners.
• Identify and mitigate risks at the program level.
• Create detailed plans for new product launches with 1–3 year horizon.
• Establish and run systems for action tracking and documentation (JIRA, Confluence, Google Drive).
• Translate ambiguous goals into actionable tasks and prioritise critical work.
