We are seeking a Merchant Services Analyst for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a global financial services organization in Tempe, AZ. This Merchant Services Deal Pricing Analyst role supports pricing decisions within the Merchant Services business, helping evaluate client pricing opportunities, profitability, transaction trends, and business growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze merchant pricing requests and evaluate financial impacts related to revenue, profitability, risk, and client competitiveness.
• Partner with Merchant Services Sales and Relationship Managers to support pricing decisions and client relationship strategies.
• Review merchant business characteristics, including transaction volume, processing trends, seasonality, and cost structures.
• Prepare data-driven recommendations using financial, operational, and business insights.
• Use Excel, reporting tools, and business intelligence resources to support pricing analysis, reporting, and modeling.
• Manage multiple pricing requests while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay Rate: $54.33 per hour.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, standard business hours.
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid schedule with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.
• Location: 1150 W Washington St, Tempe, AZ 85288.
• Contract Type: 12-month contract with possible extension and potential conversion for the right candidate.
• Job Type: Temp-to-hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Support merchant services deal pricing analysis and pricing recommendations.
• Evaluate transaction volume, processing trends, revenue impact, and cost structures.
• Partner with sales, relationship management, operations, product, and risk teams.
• Prepare accurate financial analysis, reporting, and data-driven business insights.
• 4+ years of experience in Merchant Services, Payments, Financial Services, Operations, Pricing, Finance, or a related analytical field, or equivalent experience through work, training, military experience, or education.
• Experience analyzing data and making recommendations based on financial, operational, or business insights.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and modeling.
• Exposure to pricing, financial analysis, revenue analysis, or profitability assessment.
• Basic understanding of merchant pricing concepts, including interchange, assessments, processing fees, and related cost structures.
• Experience working with pricing, reporting, or business intelligence tools.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple requests and meet established deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, organizational, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Previous experience in merchant services pricing, pricing strategy, or payments strategy.
• Understanding of payment network regulations and industry practices.
• Experience communicating with internal and external customers.
• Comfort participating in calls with business partners, clients, or cross-functional stakeholders.
